On Monday, April 1, 2025, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) announced the appointment of Alina G. Bridges, DO, FAAD, associate professor of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, to its Board of Directors. Dr. Bridges is widely recognized for her contributions to advancing diagnostic techniques for complex skin conditions. With her distinguished career in dermatopathology, she is positioned to play a key role in shaping policies, promoting dermatologic research, and enhancing medical education in dermatology as a member of the board of directors.
