These programs support students in the precursor year of medical school matriculation, including pre-medical post-baccalaureate programs and medical school reapplication programs.

Post-baccalaureate program
While enrolled in the 12-month program, students receive formal mentoring, advising, a tailored curriculum and stipend support. Upon successful completion of the program, students receive admission to the referring medical school.

Basic Medical Sciences Program & Post-baccalaureate/master’s in Interdisciplinary Basic Medical Sciences
The Interdisciplinary Basic Medical Sciences Master’s Program is a 30-credit Master of Science degree program. The curriculum has an emphasis on physiology and microbiology and includes a literature review or thesis component and a mentoring component.

The Physiology and Biophysics Master’s Program is a 30-credit Master of Science degree program, with a curriculum emphasis on physiology and biomedical sciences. Eligible students may enroll in the 12-month or 18-month thesis degree program option.

Post-baccalaureate/master’s in Public Health – Aims to provide support for students in the Master of Public Health Program and improve matriculation into medical school. Upon successful completion of the post-baccalaureate program, students will be offered direct matriculation into the entering MD class and obtain an MPH degree.

Post-baccalaureate/master’s in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological & Physical Science – Aims to support students in the Master of Science Program to improve matriculation into medical school. Students will be offered conditional acceptance to the medical school upon successful completion of the post-baccalaureate program and will obtain an MS in Interdisciplinary Studies in Biological and Physical Science.

Aims to facilitate success for M2 students who delay entry into M3 clerkships to better prepare for and successfully pass the USMLE Step I exam. Students will partake in a curriculum consisting of supplementary instruction by peer tutors, clinical examinations, wellness seminars, and access to Step I subscription resources
