The Global Health Committee officially became one of six standing committees of AMSNY in September 2009. Since this time,  it has continued to grow, and currently represents the 16 Medical schools, 5 Dental schools, 8 affiliated Nursing schools, 8 schools and 1 masters program of Public Health, the Columbia University Earth Institute, and 2 Schools of Information Technology. The Committee provides a forum for collaborative efforts and resource sharing across schools and health care professions in New York State.


Mission

The working mission of the NYS Global Health Committee is statewide collaboration on global health education and programming to improve the quality of health of underserved populations around the world, locally and globally.
