Fact Sheet: Impact of the New York State Academic Dental Centers (2012)

Established in 1960, the New York State Academic Dental Centers (NYSADC) is a consortium of the state’s five public and private academic dental centers. Its focus areas include advocacy on issues critical to dental education and oral health, the diversity and inclusion of dental students and dental school faculty, and the development of shared educational resources.

New York’s academic dental centers provide vital undergraduate and graduate dental education. These schools educate our future dental workforce, strengthen oral health – and thereby systemic health – through improved health policy and research, and provide care to all, including the uninsured and underserved populations in the state.
